CADDIS PUPA TAN

Caddis Pupa Tan is a proven fly pattern designed to imitate the natural caddisfly in its pupal stage, just before emerging into an adult. With a soft, tan-colored body and a slightly tapered thorax, this fly offers a lifelike silhouette that closely matches caddis pupae found in rivers and streams. Soft hackle or trailing fibers are often added to suggest movement and the emerging shuck.

This unweighted version allows for a more natural drift, making it perfect for fishing just below the surface during active hatches. Ideal for slow-moving water, seams, and tailouts, the Caddis Pupa Tan is best fished on a swing or dead drift. It’s a reliable choice when trout are feeding on emergers with precision and caution.
