COPPER JOHN RED TUNGSTEN

• Weight and Sink Rate: The Copper John is designed to sink quickly due to its copper wire construction and often a bead head (tungsten or brass). This makes it effective in faster currents and deeper water where fish hold.
• Imitation: It’s considered a general-purpose nymph pattern, imitating various aquatic insects like mayfly and stonefly nymphs, as well as caddis larvae and midges. Its segmented look, achieved by wrapping copper wire, adds to its realism.
• Versatility: The Copper John is effective in a variety of water conditions and seasons. It can be fished in both fast and slow water, It is a reliable choice for trout and can also be used for other fish like bass and panfish.

The vibrant red body acts as a strong visual trigger, especially effective in stained or high water and during winter or early spring conditions. The tungsten bead and slim profile make it perfect for Euro nymphing, indicator rigs, or multi-fly setups. The Copper John Red Tungsten is a reliable attractor nymph that adds color, depth, and consistent performance to any fly box.
